Temptation, temptation!

I've been so good in resisting temptation this last week!

First, there were the new Heaven and Earth Designs charts. But Fudgey came to my rescue by gifting me Pisces - the one that really would have broken my resolution.

Then Martina from Chatelaine Designs announced a forthcoming design - the Stitching Leporello Book. That was OK. Pretty, but not a 'must have'. Until I went to Judy Odell's site and saw another book in the series! It's not for sale yet though so I can't get it even if I wanted to.

(For those who asked - I don't know if it has a name yet, but it's by Elizabeth Talledo/Fingerwork and Elegant Stitch will be stocking it!)

Then a lovely new Mirabilia came to my attention....

And yesterday - the worst of the lot - I went to my LNS (The Embroiderer in Birkenhead for any Kiwi locals) and I was having a lovely chat with one of the ladies (they're so nice in there), and she told me they'd started stocking Rouge du Rhin! She even fished out a couple of the alphabet books that are on my wishlist to show me!! AND, then she showed me all the books by Valerie Lejeune!

I was really, really good! I came away with two threads and a gift for my adopted stitcher. Talk about temptation though....

  2. Woohoo - now I know one place I'm definitely going to visit in May ... The Embroiderer! I used to pop over every now and then when I was in Akld, and how awful that I'm flying over for Mum's 70th birthday ... better make sure I have at least one free shopping day LOL. Have to admit, I'm thinking of getting the Chatelaine leporetto with Mum's birthday money ... maybe ;)
