This is my Blackbird Designs piece - Summer Basket. It's really pretty. I'm thinking of turning it into a little pillow/cushion when it's done.<br />

</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
It's been years since I stitched regularly - 5 or 6 years actually - and I'm really getting back into it again. I'm missing knitting, but although I found a little yarn I haven't found most of my needles and the few that I did find aren't the right size for the yarn I found (isn't that typical!)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I did start a swatch the other day on the wrong size needles in the hope that my tension might be off enough for the wrong needles to be the right ones (and if you don't knit, that sentence will make absolutely no sense at all), but I need to wash and dry it before measuring.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Of course, I could buy more needles but we're being careful with money and I do have plenty to do, so I just have to be patient!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I have bought something though. We had money in our paypal account so I bought my first stitching supplies for about 6 years. These are from Blackbird Designs and pretty much out of print now, so I had to get them when I found an unsold set online.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiH3MSYL5SikSBILvYtg8PoRuB9yVxUmCk3s-XIR3VqQjVA2Py2UKxlEwVnDUoITXV97wTOB9cDrU7pw3-lO9zE_8NXZdVBONJ5Fu6uFmEEOZ45s4m24cWJZkeO-UDqUL8uhQ/s1600/DSCF9903.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiH3MSYL5SikSBILvYtg8PoRuB9yVxUmCk3s-XIR3VqQjVA2Py2UKxlEwVnDUoITXV97wTOB9cDrU7pw3-lO9zE_8NXZdVBONJ5Fu6uFmEEOZ45s4m24cWJZkeO-UDqUL8uhQ/s400/DSCF9903.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiH3MSYL5SikSBILvYtg8PoRuB9yVxUmCk3s-XIR3VqQjVA2Py2UKxlEwVnDUoITXV97wTOB9cDrU7pw3-lO9zE_8NXZdVBONJ5Fu6uFmEEOZ45s4m24cWJZkeO-UDqUL8uhQ/s1600/DSCF9903.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><br />
</a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I've been a fan of Blackbird Designs for years, so I'm very happy to have these. I've not bought many of their limited edition charts and I really regret not getting some of them when I could.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Here's one I did get - Summer Basket.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
And here's my other stitching - a long-neglected Heaven and Earth Designs piece, Shakaasha.<br />

We have stuff! Last Tuesday a big van showed up and an hour later our garage was full. (The van wasn't just for our stuff - we don't have THAT much!)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4-LfjF_WKT17AHUj5yfJVCHltrzFZHT16LAwrQyJ3odaQRovpKSUzteS4nX1n19x0eCdix20zxUOG3OhshHYLLb0QyI9jFGvz5gByQCKkgtSf1bNGwsDx8mTN2o-HSPgoTw/s1600/DSCF9816.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4-LfjF_WKT17AHUj5yfJVCHltrzFZHT16LAwrQyJ3odaQRovpKSUzteS4nX1n19x0eCdix20zxUOG3OhshHYLLb0QyI9jFGvz5gByQCKkgtSf1bNGwsDx8mTN2o-HSPgoTw/s400/DSCF9816.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgm8yZpZYOGBi0HfLAK8a1Avzi2VcCyhGvPwtQn8cJV78alQv440LTLNAcmUbSoqS5bjn1I5NKSBMB2Kr2sYYuNKPBUTrn5HMyD_2NN5X4XVs6NYdGkr0NHtpzmihuCDDdSNg/s1600/12188182_10153133976201034_785836019916917124_o.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="248" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgm8yZpZYOGBi0HfLAK8a1Avzi2VcCyhGvPwtQn8cJV78alQv440LTLNAcmUbSoqS5bjn1I5NKSBMB2Kr2sYYuNKPBUTrn5HMyD_2NN5X4XVs6NYdGkr0NHtpzmihuCDDdSNg/s400/12188182_10153133976201034_785836019916917124_o.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Almost everything is still in boxes in the garage because we're hoping to move again before Christmas. We're trying to buy a house, so it's not worth unpacking just to pack again. So far we've unearthed:<br />
<br />
<br />
<ul>
<li>A bed. (Oh, the bliss of sleeping in a bed for the first time in 3 months. It seems huge after a small mattress on the floor)</li>
<li>A toaster. (The grill in our rental property is pretty useless. Toast takes half an hour, so it's a simple joy to be able to have proper toast again)</li>
<li>A big cast-iron dish for cooking almost everything!</li>
<li>A decent vegetable peeler. (I'm still trying to find the grater, zester and decent knives) </li>
<li>Assorted cross-stitch stash! (I've unearthed a bit of a mix - some charts but not all of them; some started stuff but not all the charts or threads that go with them. The guy that did the packing seems to have managed to muddle everything up nicely...)</li>
</ul>
<br />
<br />
In the meantime I've nearly finished Tradewinds, so it's a good job I've found two WIPs with respective charts and threads and one Blackbird Designs chart that I'd kitted up. There's no sign of any yarn or patchwork stuff yet.<br />
<br />

<br />
I've done some stitching and it's coming along.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
We got our sofa, and Sarah loves it! (We like it too - it's good to have a proper bit of furniture.)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-OgSYE3m7syfHsCmLWsfaeX44H1MnVl7WxeDnUNFjbeLhqTCU063JAc-6mOPX8a2rmAf52_HbgmeSpyR0DzM5_H9VkZSJkMV5Vyj11LmSmhA8ArM9IRXzn-5TBHyDEYt2YA/s1600/DSCF9782.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-OgSYE3m7syfHsCmLWsfaeX44H1MnVl7WxeDnUNFjbeLhqTCU063JAc-6mOPX8a2rmAf52_HbgmeSpyR0DzM5_H9VkZSJkMV5Vyj11LmSmhA8ArM9IRXzn-5TBHyDEYt2YA/s400/DSCF9782.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
We're still waiting for the stuff we shipped, and we're trying to buy a house. That doesn't appear to be progressing very fast either. I suspect the vendor is hanging out for a better offer. It's all a bit frustrating!<br />

There's not a lot to report here this week except for the exciting fact that we should have a sofa later today! Hooray! It's arriving a couple of weeks earlier than expected. It'll be so nice to have something else to sit on.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I've been doing a lot of blue stitching. One dolphin and a moon and stars.</div>

And some beading. The beads that came with the kit got accidentally shipped, but the wonderful craft store that's just 5 minutes walk away had exactly what I needed.<br />

<br />
And for a bit of colour, here's my crochet blanket. The edging isn't finished as I ran out of the Copper colour yarn with just a tiny bit to go. As soon as we have a bit of money coming in I'll order some more (and maybe another blanket kit!) and finish it off.<br />

I thought I'd show you what our home in NZ is like. We've been here just under 2 months now and we have a few things, but we're still waiting for the ship with most of our stuff (it still seems to be on an extended cruise round China!)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
It's a nice-looking house that gets the sun in the living room all day long. It's got a lawn and a small deck. It's clean and neat, but we're not sure how long we'll be here, as the rent is high and the road is noisy.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgIiV74KttezAXzqZ4QRGYxC05H3iB2eRn_C9N5XBvOof-t4D8XY-f3q9M8dLEdLbEm13EZZ2OFz_TnbjswYoe0f_niMcSlWxGtWbyjAx5vzzimICjyxbXXIWDsYNSGVBa-KQ/s1600/DSCF9713.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgIiV74KttezAXzqZ4QRGYxC05H3iB2eRn_C9N5XBvOof-t4D8XY-f3q9M8dLEdLbEm13EZZ2OFz_TnbjswYoe0f_niMcSlWxGtWbyjAx5vzzimICjyxbXXIWDsYNSGVBa-KQ/s400/DSCF9713.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
This is the living area. It's small but the floors are gorgeous. We have a sofa bed to sit on and a table that the landlady let us borrow.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The sofa bed is fine but after 6 weeks it was getting really uncomfortable, so we're now sleeping on the mattress bit on the bedroom floor. Still not great, but better! Getting up off the floor first thing on a cold morning with stiff limbs is a bit slow, but Sarah is happy with it as you can see!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
And we have an office. We bought two desks and chairs and a Mac so we can do some work. Here's Martin gaming and I've been on Ravelry. Some things don't change!</div>

I finished a Teresa Wentzler kit that I'd had for years (I can't show you the finished piece as it's in a box on the sea!), and started another.<br />
<br />
This is Tradewinds. It was another kit that I got ages ago and I have no idea where it came from - ebay I suspect.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgu9niO_VEOPrLNkE7rsMsIfRHAEwiYt4YeCo7KI4ceEG3zXm_JjHDH2y_EqFVWQkydnBV6u-BO8sMpUJ4bLZuIRDtIU40-uczOjRLb7ASnz_RrJGbFiAYkT0Tf1k1qku_WIg/s1600/DSCF9755.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgu9niO_VEOPrLNkE7rsMsIfRHAEwiYt4YeCo7KI4ceEG3zXm_JjHDH2y_EqFVWQkydnBV6u-BO8sMpUJ4bLZuIRDtIU40-uczOjRLb7ASnz_RrJGbFiAYkT0Tf1k1qku_WIg/s400/DSCF9755.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
It's the only stitching I have with me, which is a bit of a shame as my stitching mojo is back full force for the first time in about 5 years!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCzbYeAt592jy15TtbSaKugQlPXYFnOtjoz8FLH0xaRsnKkUxkXEjbQcr6Sn6B1O2wfvbopTY5l1ZUE14yNyD71pRicrcB7OZVuXScmiaHpO04xAosS5-z62xk5QpMXQASlQ/s1600/DSCF9750.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCzbYeAt592jy15TtbSaKugQlPXYFnOtjoz8FLH0xaRsnKkUxkXEjbQcr6Sn6B1O2wfvbopTY5l1ZUE14yNyD71pRicrcB7OZVuXScmiaHpO04xAosS5-z62xk5QpMXQASlQ/s400/DSCF9750.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Because it's a Teresa Wentzler there are a lot of blended colours and some over one bits too, so hopefully it'll keep me quiet until the rest of my craft stash arrives.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-PDVRmtYtxw_qy0zGY-xufIo9JAr3oPYd11ux3zhyOUVT4fVZgWA8rTpjuXvNNmhnQFY8ZDnIdevPGOMyhdy5JMQJ5ZnOiHJWyQK9vhjPmD7V4eJQKmspwAN7wPrn_3G5Mw/s1600/DSCF9758.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-PDVRmtYtxw_qy0zGY-xufIo9JAr3oPYd11ux3zhyOUVT4fVZgWA8rTpjuXvNNmhnQFY8ZDnIdevPGOMyhdy5JMQJ5ZnOiHJWyQK9vhjPmD7V4eJQKmspwAN7wPrn_3G5Mw/s400/DSCF9758.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I'm working on the sails in the daytime when the light is good, and I'm doing back stitching at night (the lights in our living area are a bit dim for stitching).<br />
<br />

It's looking a bit creased - the iron is also on the sea in a box! I hope you like it as I'm going to be showing you a lot of it over the next month...Nickihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07197475715635764985noreply@blogger.com9tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9731316.post-43229688436615203172015-09-26T12:43:00.000+12:002015-09-26T12:43:23.212+12:00Rainy daysWell, we're all settling in here slowly. We're still waiting for our belongings (currently sailing round China and due in about another month), so it's still a bit weird. We have a sofa bed, two desks, a chair, and kitchen basics. This often means taking it in turns to eat breakfast if one bowl is full of leftovers from dinner the night before, and I had to eat soup from the saucepan the other day!<br />
<br />
Days are fairly quiet. We're setting up our websites and I have some studying to do. The last week has been especially quiet as it's rained, and rained, and rained.... After a month of sunshine we needed the rain, but not quite that much all at once!<br />
<br />
We wondered why there was a drain in the lawn and we found out!<br />
<br />

<br />
And I almost finished my crochet blanket. Just the edging to go...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFoTrepbcVg77Ubryxkotb8ekzXy8yXPx0uZxcexVbL_Cv9Pb9y83nXMCS9SXVcnlvOkp5fIGYGgo_u1McO3iSgWxLKVrPMTb9f14Bwi9FmFh6M63iqLhaFgw5drkLIwn0pQ/s1600/DSCF9740.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFoTrepbcVg77Ubryxkotb8ekzXy8yXPx0uZxcexVbL_Cv9Pb9y83nXMCS9SXVcnlvOkp5fIGYGgo_u1McO3iSgWxLKVrPMTb9f14Bwi9FmFh6M63iqLhaFgw5drkLIwn0pQ/s400/DSCF9740.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
This means I've almost used all the yarn I brought with me. Just a sock and a bit left to knit and leftovers to use up. I'm stretching out the sock knitting as long as I can!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi2Nu-ueu5gV4_JZR5Uvq8JL4JSLtvAowA-0h0_bMZQFzTvfwUf9xx86xBcIWaq8BP48fuRbUGzC8arID4hENQ5oX-Z3crAgeUCy608zaPQCF5lvPJfUodqXaN6zEGtrt0gOA/s1600/DSCF9744.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi2Nu-ueu5gV4_JZR5Uvq8JL4JSLtvAowA-0h0_bMZQFzTvfwUf9xx86xBcIWaq8BP48fuRbUGzC8arID4hENQ5oX-Z3crAgeUCy608zaPQCF5lvPJfUodqXaN6zEGtrt0gOA/s400/DSCF9744.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Once that's done all I have left to do craft-wise is the cross stitch I brought along. I'll share that another day.<br />

It's been a very long time since I felt like blogging, but things have changed dramatically for the Plush household and I felt now was the time to restart.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
First - we moved. And not just any move. Once again we packed everything up (well, the shippers packed everything to be exact), and departed for the opposite side of the world. We are now living in Napier, New Zealand.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgn206AN2yaYSZ1Ir7txqcoagoHvuWaRtzFrAH4Q0H1QvP2vy2E6q4Wg1flGl4Xnd3OAOCIjpaEUgfxEBFb4qF2xnM9VzolgCd9QjMhd3c2q29B6NN8tMzIYBs7wJbpq91dIw/s1600/DSCF9704.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgn206AN2yaYSZ1Ir7txqcoagoHvuWaRtzFrAH4Q0H1QvP2vy2E6q4Wg1flGl4Xnd3OAOCIjpaEUgfxEBFb4qF2xnM9VzolgCd9QjMhd3c2q29B6NN8tMzIYBs7wJbpq91dIw/s400/DSCF9704.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
4 weeks ago I left my job, waved Sarah off on her trip (she went first and had 10 days in quarantine), threw a farewell party for close friends and neighbours, sat in a corner while the house was packed around me, and then got on a plane.</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So far, it's definitely been a good move. Things feel familiar and there's absolutely no sign of any homesickness. Napier is great and apart from missing friends it looks as if it might all go well.</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Accompanying me on the trip was Martin and a large bag of yarn (only one suitcase each but who needs that many clothes...)</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjy5HFVZY0veg-MHL-p1wgsNZecJPW4HCh8f3nGBYXK0BZJFRSFAW0fz5ORptvyD4-p1TpSXVYnhwxmf38pUVF7Inel30unKwR4MqGGks9YkRo7H6h8nZjqK5g62lmhfLAD1Q/s1600/DSCF9626.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjy5HFVZY0veg-MHL-p1wgsNZecJPW4HCh8f3nGBYXK0BZJFRSFAW0fz5ORptvyD4-p1TpSXVYnhwxmf38pUVF7Inel30unKwR4MqGGks9YkRo7H6h8nZjqK5g62lmhfLAD1Q/s400/DSCF9626.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
The yarn has steadily grown from its humble beginnings. It's the <a href="http://attic24.typepad.com/weblog/2014/12/cosy-stripe-blanket-ta-dah.html" target="_blank">Attic 24 Cosy Stripe Blanket</a>, which I've been wanting to do for a while (in fact, having started this I now want to make all of Lucy's blankets!)<br />
<br />
It was started while I sat on a wrapped chair while the house was being packed.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://scontent-sjc2-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xtp1/v/t1.0-9/11863468_10152981972076034_8985618063020312208_n.jpg?oh=12784e09463b2e87d166c9f038d70396&oe=56A8097B" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://scontent-sjc2-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xtp1/v/t1.0-9/11863468_10152981972076034_8985618063020312208_n.jpg?oh=12784e09463b2e87d166c9f038d70396&oe=56A8097B" width="247" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
It got worked on when we arrived in Auckland, and then when we arrived in Napier and were staying in a hotel for a couple of nights.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://scontent-sjc2-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xfp1/t31.0-8/11856446_10152998042186034_6155580654746962241_o.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="248" src="https://scontent-sjc2-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xfp1/t31.0-8/11856446_10152998042186034_6155580654746962241_o.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
It's grown steadily ever since...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEilsb0Q-iJXX6L4RCqW1kwTJCmIGZyHlK3kyC_jd5isZIwr4DVopbi9oR3EVYV4JEI5_ZXDXWTRiY5JgGiRLQe9zfbpU259WFmZPgMWoe1v0RQpAbmDu4oA8j_zK8GqdTFK6Q/s1600/DSCF9709.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEilsb0Q-iJXX6L4RCqW1kwTJCmIGZyHlK3kyC_jd5isZIwr4DVopbi9oR3EVYV4JEI5_ZXDXWTRiY5JgGiRLQe9zfbpU259WFmZPgMWoe1v0RQpAbmDu4oA8j_zK8GqdTFK6Q/s400/DSCF9709.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
And it's now two-thirds done.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgP4koYPuIlPxP2IBvASFoAL8xN-HhqwniBh6LDC19E_2UMMY4kA-zyuK8Mq1jQ3oeEE-BMbrHPiYIfsWm53skFmiGGRex9IKhHe7iiN5phC_GS-SpsrQ9CoucSqAcZ_mrUvQ/s1600/DSCF9710.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgP4koYPuIlPxP2IBvASFoAL8xN-HhqwniBh6LDC19E_2UMMY4kA-zyuK8Mq1jQ3oeEE-BMbrHPiYIfsWm53skFmiGGRex9IKhHe7iiN5phC_GS-SpsrQ9CoucSqAcZ_mrUvQ/s400/DSCF9710.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
It was a good thing to choose to bring because although today is lovely the rental house we've got gets really cold at night at the moment and our furniture (with extra bedding and blankets!) is still 6-7 weeks away.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I actually finished a block from the Farmer's Wife quilt, so that's two new ones and a total of 21 so far.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I have got another block almost done, but I've lost a piece of fabric and need to replace it or unpick. And another two blocks I want to redo completely as I don't like one of the fabrics at all.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
And I stitched a little more on my Teresa Wentzler. It's slow but effective.</div>

I thought I might dig out some old projects and see what I could get done.<br />
<br />
This is my Antique Flower Garden quilt. I couldn't remember when I last worked on it, so I checked and it was summer 2009! In fact, looking at my old blog posts reminded me that the last time I did anything on this was the day Lulu came back after she went missing. I was sitting in the garden stitching when she reappeared. It's hard to believe that was almost 4 years ago and it's 9 months since she died. We miss her still.<br />
<br />
I need to get this done - I think I only have a couple of flower blocks to do.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-xSWl34i-kjoxGLwYKKJRls-1TdLhho5xz7AjR20oPzpYBC47EwBm874uo5CZdPWhHd4ZaeZkeDyBz7AI0BNa_m9phb4_OyqSyxU2Oo7WzcrgChjqvC0HWadUiNGRAa0OUA/s1600/DSCF5816.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-xSWl34i-kjoxGLwYKKJRls-1TdLhho5xz7AjR20oPzpYBC47EwBm874uo5CZdPWhHd4ZaeZkeDyBz7AI0BNa_m9phb4_OyqSyxU2Oo7WzcrgChjqvC0HWadUiNGRAa0OUA/s400/DSCF5816.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
The plain blocks are machine stitched and this was back when I didn't know what I was doing. Some of the blocks aren't so great but I do love the fabrics and I'm sure it'll look passable when it's all together. I even have the wadding and backing, so there's no excuse!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhstmMBBGjdpS37ScQeK9L8Ov5rzrPdV6xh-11pIlSbzu7APal5q6OHwo4QTKoemWJ8h5WLZ-2xxhTTl6_Hfx5PjII5AmMmpdAhyULWBs0wocctS2CKllHoH1K9i1RNeJsFAA/s1600/DSCF5819.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhstmMBBGjdpS37ScQeK9L8Ov5rzrPdV6xh-11pIlSbzu7APal5q6OHwo4QTKoemWJ8h5WLZ-2xxhTTl6_Hfx5PjII5AmMmpdAhyULWBs0wocctS2CKllHoH1K9i1RNeJsFAA/s400/DSCF5819.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
And I also found my Leanne's House quilt. I got this in NZ, so it's even older. I started it on the machine, switched to hand piecing and then went back to the machine. I need to measure the blocks I've done and see if anything needs picking apart - I really didn't have a clue on this one and some stuff definitely isn't lining up properly!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjb0AaFeYeZPN5-dAwNnqXmcW7_mr59RMLv5_qa0OmcxtE5sOCDfjR_7NcnUXav4uTysW8WRbezia2XHF7BMkoB9-kZy1ycw2Q_lCujNUQObzhEJ4PuuV53d-xbGTz2ILr8Tw/s1600/DSCF5822.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjb0AaFeYeZPN5-dAwNnqXmcW7_mr59RMLv5_qa0OmcxtE5sOCDfjR_7NcnUXav4uTysW8WRbezia2XHF7BMkoB9-kZy1ycw2Q_lCujNUQObzhEJ4PuuV53d-xbGTz2ILr8Tw/s400/DSCF5822.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Nic - I know I should be working on Farmer's Wife too. I've done a little. Will hopefully post a photo later this weekend :)Nickihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07197475715635764985noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9731316.post-67610963450087228242013-04-29T21:06:00.000+12:002013-04-29T21:06:27.643+12:00A restart<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Once upon a time, in a far away land (New Zealand), I got a kit of Teresa Wentzler's first Fruit and Floral Wreath and started stitching. I got about a quarter of the way through the wreath before I decided that I really, really didn't like the plain evenweave that had come in the kit. So in the bin it went. In the meantime I had also got hold of the booklet with both Floral Wreaths and I realised I wanted both to be on the same fabric.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Fast forward several years and I feel the need to start this over again. I dug through the stash and found some Lakeside Linens 32ct in Exemplar. Luckily, a fat quarter seems plenty to do both wreaths, so I cut it in half and here we go again...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

So, what else was I doing over the last month or so? Well, I got some other knitting and quilting done as well. I'll be taking my quilting to my Tuesday afternoon craft group today, so I'll do an updated photo later this week, but here's the latest knitting finish.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<br />
It's called Fragile Heart and it's knitted in Old Maiden Aunt merino in the colourway Greige.<br />
<br />
And speaking of fragile things, I decided to widen the flower bed last week and dig up and divide the hardy geraniums that were taking over. And the garden spade that has barely been used and is only a year old decided to snap right in two!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9y3qwzHSVPdwBZ5VzYoC-cpXQ5AAZhJbAKyaFd-nHbn0nwJ4HtKvJMQDMLp_69qHOfhme7UvDsJf5sxQHaS5_ooqGhpagmkGHagq37AF9oPnfOUgYKB1I58sQm885zKbPdw/s1600/DSCF5714.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9y3qwzHSVPdwBZ5VzYoC-cpXQ5AAZhJbAKyaFd-nHbn0nwJ4HtKvJMQDMLp_69qHOfhme7UvDsJf5sxQHaS5_ooqGhpagmkGHagq37AF9oPnfOUgYKB1I58sQm885zKbPdw/s400/DSCF5714.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
It wasn't until later that I realised how lucky I'd been. I obviously was putting a lot of pressure on it when it snapped and I fell into the flower bed. If I'd fallen onto the broken end I could have impaled myself. Thankfully no damage was done!Nickihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07197475715635764985noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9731316.post-3276302986922291562013-04-21T22:30:00.001+12:002013-04-21T23:58:57.632+12:00Blog following<a href="http://www.bloglovin.com/blog/2789577/?claim=hcjhhrq4ua6">Follow my blog with Bloglovin</a><br />

About 18 months ago? Well, I'm still going and thought it was time I did an update photo. So here's the current collection. Only about 125 puffs but they look pretty.<br />
<br />

<br />
They're all Old Maiden Aunt yarns and I just do a few whenever I get the urge. They're not sewn together yet - I'll wait to do that when I have about 400. Or whenever I get bored. Or run out of leftover yarn. Whichever comes first.<br />

<br />
I have been crafting but March was a pretty rubbish month and I just didn't feel like being sociable - even online. March is always a low time for me - a combo of my birthday (which always brings on an adoption-related bout of depression and often sees me with minor illnesses like colds and stomach bugs) and seasonal blues. I've learned to expect it and take measures against it, but the long cold winter this year was hard.<br />
<br />
But you didn't come here to read about that, so I'll move on and say spring is finally here and I feel more myself again. I've found a new crafting group in the town and am really enjoying my Tuesday afternoons with new friends, and I have quite a few things to show for a month or two of sitting indoors trying to keep warm!<br />
<br />
First is progress on Napoleon. He's been put aside for a few weeks now but I'll probably pick him back up next month. Knitting is less appealing as it gets warmer!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglEZHzNyELYT4qHmJw30i5-Ygh_P1poZr6lmDZ7lM-6uLrt5iJp6uXSkaDbyAdVo0YvhZGXWArL5ktcITVDJyaSd3NSEP7ds5iZYdXZCLr9lnFC0Nmkh2GSiWt6Ah9KjiHaQ/s1600/DSCF5558.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglEZHzNyELYT4qHmJw30i5-Ygh_P1poZr6lmDZ7lM-6uLrt5iJp6uXSkaDbyAdVo0YvhZGXWArL5ktcITVDJyaSd3NSEP7ds5iZYdXZCLr9lnFC0Nmkh2GSiWt6Ah9KjiHaQ/s400/DSCF5558.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
He's looking good - I'm pleased and so is Martin!<br />
<br />
Trevor needed to get in on the action too...<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5GYahD5JN2ZJUD216ipVDxVSww4tuzeOn_GRr1ow4oV7XsPMiUyfRdJqNgkGpdeKADc70owmN43kzUfHQEceuP-rbJApibkcjRtmfUjNs2KNhblHsqp8j6ogqf66anOzBkw/s1600/DSCF5559.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5GYahD5JN2ZJUD216ipVDxVSww4tuzeOn_GRr1ow4oV7XsPMiUyfRdJqNgkGpdeKADc70owmN43kzUfHQEceuP-rbJApibkcjRtmfUjNs2KNhblHsqp8j6ogqf66anOzBkw/s400/DSCF5559.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
And that wasn't the only thing he was interested in. A few weeks ago I finished my Sky Ladder blanket late at night (I got the rest of the yarn I needed as payment for helping on a yarn stall in mid February). I left it on the sofa and look what I found the next morning...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgj83ykQPcL5K1XabX796u3ReuqP3krBL1u0NMx1OEja6FafbmM7aOcEYmmhp_oyXyEPTJDtB7KV_KKSQQheF_Kx2R-CnJbD5RUvJY1WUaWdib2jNvD4dtrcppZJ_Blb1CYdw/s1600/DSCF5563.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgj83ykQPcL5K1XabX796u3ReuqP3krBL1u0NMx1OEja6FafbmM7aOcEYmmhp_oyXyEPTJDtB7KV_KKSQQheF_Kx2R-CnJbD5RUvJY1WUaWdib2jNvD4dtrcppZJ_Blb1CYdw/s400/DSCF5563.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
He's not stupid. It was cold and that blanket is warm!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHgqKPw2GtC99tbS48yW-DhUaYVeKI5hRSXZY6q1dyvGyet0FL9HXb2PvQE8KpZqK_pb1UFJqopRBkw-RZLjfzUP1kEtAR4XDmbeURM02gSMcwa7PisZiRK1dS4XCe2vWS8g/s1600/DSCF5566.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHgqKPw2GtC99tbS48yW-DhUaYVeKI5hRSXZY6q1dyvGyet0FL9HXb2PvQE8KpZqK_pb1UFJqopRBkw-RZLjfzUP1kEtAR4XDmbeURM02gSMcwa7PisZiRK1dS4XCe2vWS8g/s400/DSCF5566.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
It's seen a fair bit of use the last month or so, but hopefully I won't need it now until next winter.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
Lots more to share but I'll save some for another day.<br />
<br />
<br />

I dug this out last week. It's Martin's Napoleon picture that has been about 7 years on the go, on and off (rather more off than on I have to admit). Every year I seem to get it out, do another page or two and put it away again. He made a plaintive request the other day, so out it's come again. After several days I have a fraction more done.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgS1Rzj5MsnknUiTe8tEiq5_nYUbxiZK5guh6VYNnbKroxA7f0geL8SliMezjBt5FdSHD1Sb2UP7SvbjxJ58Vq1gM7RJALj4MF35BNN9ub-iflQHdgdc6eaEY4AJhdh_TDXFA/s1600/DSCF5465.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgS1Rzj5MsnknUiTe8tEiq5_nYUbxiZK5guh6VYNnbKroxA7f0geL8SliMezjBt5FdSHD1Sb2UP7SvbjxJ58Vq1gM7RJALj4MF35BNN9ub-iflQHdgdc6eaEY4AJhdh_TDXFA/s400/DSCF5465.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
You can see the start of an arm now but it is, oh, so slow! The sky was much faster - fewer colours. It's all looking very green but he doesn't seem to mind, so I will keep going for a while longer. Maybe this year I can get a good bit of it done.<br />
<br />
I have been knitting too, and the good news is that I now have enough yarn to finish the blanket I showed you a few weeks ago. I helped a friend out on her yarn stall on Friday and I got paid in yarn. I love that sort of job. Shame it doesn't pay the bills!<br />
<br />
And I got this last week too - gorgeous cashmere fingering weight yarn as a late Christmas/early birthday pressie. It's begging to be turned into a cardigan.<br />
<br />

Well, one of those skeins has been turned into a pair of socks already.<br />
<br />
The pattern was <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/kai-mei" target="_blank">Kai-Mei</a> by CookieA and it really was the fastest pair of socks I've ever made. Very simple but, oh, so effective and pretty too.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrBXYNeM0u7b9SUPYd4_VbzNFrFimKXj8rretnM38ZbK_odopJzRpYu_G9PSC3kmi1H3z3z02k7eUIgrfShVDpG-UBIiVzmxNKz5oQ0SjSCZcVpUoY8wlFIwITQrJQB8nv7g/s1600/DSCF5407.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrBXYNeM0u7b9SUPYd4_VbzNFrFimKXj8rretnM38ZbK_odopJzRpYu_G9PSC3kmi1H3z3z02k7eUIgrfShVDpG-UBIiVzmxNKz5oQ0SjSCZcVpUoY8wlFIwITQrJQB8nv7g/s400/DSCF5407.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
You can see the colour a little better in this photo. The socks are for a gift, so a bit big for me, and it's very hard taking a decent pic of your own feet!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I love CookieA socks. I think she's the best. It can't have been a couple of weeks since my last post can it?<br />
<br />
A little more crafting has been done. I finished a a pair of socks for a friend (will save photos of those for another day) and I whipped up these mitts with leftover yarn.<br />

They are my second pair of Veyla mitts, this time in Malabrigo Finito. I used the rest of it to make a shawl last year. I would show you a photo of that too but a whole bunch of photos seem to have got mislaid. Oh well. Here's another mitt picture instead!<br />

<br />
We've not that long been back from a month-long holiday to New Zealand, and since then I've found it hard to settle down to regular anything. What I really wanted to do was make a blanket for the cold (we went from about +26 C to about 0 C in 24 hours - this may have had something to do with the blanket urge!) The only issue is I need 4 or 5 skeins of yarn for the blanket I wanted to do, and I only have 2 skeins.<br />
<br />
I've started regardless and just hope that when I get the rest of the yarn it's a reasonable match. It probably won't be, as it's Malabrigo and their dye lots are often very different, but I'm just pretending it won't be a problem. I really wanted to start this blanket!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVvNB371nni5wYMWSxEe7Uzf48KyJy4cAMk60vVSJ1_ZmH5EUqFL2G4tGJ89NQFFCGOiCKQ2UJ7ptJ9Rs7ZkJguTYBH6EmIL3ZRTOtQs2_TLuISuWQvK6_ULEvxVDByu8NqQ/s1600/DSCF5373.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVvNB371nni5wYMWSxEe7Uzf48KyJy4cAMk60vVSJ1_ZmH5EUqFL2G4tGJ89NQFFCGOiCKQ2UJ7ptJ9Rs7ZkJguTYBH6EmIL3ZRTOtQs2_TLuISuWQvK6_ULEvxVDByu8NqQ/s400/DSCF5373.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I've used this pattern before. It's <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/sky-ladder" target="_blank">Sky Ladder</a> by Knitspot and I made the baby blanket version last year for <a href="http://kittycouture.blogspot.co.uk/" target="_blank">Isabelle</a>.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
I also went through my stitching stash and pulled out a Blackbird Design pattern to stitch. It happened to be the first thing I found that I had all the supplies for, but it's very appropriate for my mood as I'm still missing my NZ family :)<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />Nickihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07197475715635764985noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9731316.post-43544771045226560312013-01-24T23:40:00.000+13:002013-01-24T23:40:27.455+13:00What's going on?Well, I haven't blogged or read blogs for the longest time, but this morning I got the urge to start again. There's really been far too much to catch you up on since I last blogged regularly, so I'm going to start right here and now by saying the snow has almost gone, there's no work right now and not much to be done around the house, and so I'm going to do a bit of knitting and maybe dig through my stitchy stash.<br />
<br />
I might frog the bind off on this shawl and redo it. I ran out of yarn but a lovely friend gave me hers to redo it in the proper colour...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZAvNbpLuy_Hg5gd0irpREpkMsExZibqcNSF4-DItfijX9N_2aVCwTZgMlMXEIN6Ew566pW_-dOLMcOPy9pST-BQ4UhHkWiJLQdGljGAdBGJKQ1wCE2ahBRY6rK0XnBMhUYw/s1600/034_medium2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZAvNbpLuy_Hg5gd0irpREpkMsExZibqcNSF4-DItfijX9N_2aVCwTZgMlMXEIN6Ew566pW_-dOLMcOPy9pST-BQ4UhHkWiJLQdGljGAdBGJKQ1wCE2ahBRY6rK0XnBMhUYw/s400/034_medium2.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
And I might keep knitting on the blanket I am working on. I don't have enough yarn to finish it but I'm putting my head in the sand about that.<br />
<br />
As for stitching - it's been so long we'll just have to see what I can find!Nickihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07197475715635764985noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9731316.post-62461016858910357442012-08-17T08:36:00.000+12:002013-01-24T22:59:09.905+13:00Our darling Lulu (2000-2012)This morning Lulu went peacefully to sleep, ending a battle with cancer that has been ongoing for the last 6 months. It was a really hard decision, and although we know it was the right one and we've been preparing for this for weeks now, it still hurts terribly to lose our beautiful girl.<br />
