Three pinwheel blocks
We had family round for dinner last night and I'm a bit washed out today after a very late night and too much good food and drink. However, I did manage to get my rotary cutter and sewing machine out, and at last I've cut out all the pieces I need to make my pinwheel quilt.
I even started to sew them together...
Just three done but you can start to see how it's going to look.

It's looking good! I really like the colors in it. My sister quilts, and I would love to learn how someday.
ReplyDeleteIt looks great.
ReplyDeleteYou did great! It's not easy to wield a rotary cutter when you're feeling a little the worse for wear! Lovely colours too :)
ReplyDeleteLovely colors for this quilt!
ReplyDeleteIt's looking lovely
ReplyDeleteYour quilting is looking lovely Nicki... I would LOVE to learn to do this. My cousin's wife quilts and I'm always so impressed... lots more work involved than x-stitch though. ;-)
ReplyDeleteBTW, I did use 2 strands of silk for the LHN Tea series. I ran out of at least one colour on all three I think (definitely Vanilla Pudding on Herbal Tea). If you've bought them all you can borrow from each though - it always seems to work out. :)
Wonderful start on your pinwheel quilt. I love your choice of colours - my favourites!
ReplyDeleteYou have been making great progress on everything - wow your CHS alphabet is almost done. I love the pinwheel quilt and it looks easy. Can you tell me what pattern it is?
ReplyDeletePretty quilting start! Can't wait to see more!
