Temptation, temptation!
I've been so good in resisting temptation this last week!
First, there were the new Heaven and Earth Designs charts. But Fudgey came to my rescue by gifting me Pisces - the one that really would have broken my resolution.
Then Martina from Chatelaine Designs announced a forthcoming design - the Stitching Leporello Book. That was OK. Pretty, but not a 'must have'. Until I went to Judy Odell's site and saw another book in the series! It's not for sale yet though so I can't get it even if I wanted to.
(For those who asked - I don't know if it has a name yet, but it's by Elizabeth Talledo/Fingerwork and Elegant Stitch will be stocking it!)
Then a lovely new Mirabilia came to my attention....
And yesterday - the worst of the lot - I went to my LNS (The Embroiderer in Birkenhead for any Kiwi locals) and I was having a lovely chat with one of the ladies (they're so nice in there), and she told me they'd started stocking Rouge du Rhin! She even fished out a couple of the alphabet books that are on my wishlist to show me!! AND, then she showed me all the books by Valerie Lejeune!
I was really, really good! I came away with two threads and a gift for my adopted stitcher. Talk about temptation though....

Hi Nicky,
ReplyDeleteI am having trouble finding more info about the design in your first pic...could you please post the name?
Thank you :)
Woohoo - now I know one place I'm definitely going to visit in May ... The Embroiderer! I used to pop over every now and then when I was in Akld, and how awful that I'm flying over for Mum's 70th birthday ... better make sure I have at least one free shopping day LOL. Have to admit, I'm thinking of getting the Chatelaine leporetto with Mum's birthday money ... maybe ;)
ReplyDeleteI am really proud of you. I know that I wouldn't have been that good.
