A-Z...

I saw this on Anne's blog and thought it was fun. And it's another one of those insomnia nights, so it gave me something to do!

A is for Age: 38 (for another month or so anyway)
B is for Booze: Gin & Tonic - with ice and a slice please. Or some good biscuity bubbly
C is for Career: Editor and proofreader (but don't check my blog for typos please!)
D is for Dad’s Name: Gordon
E is for Essential Item to Bring to a Party: DH in case there's no one else to talk to!
F is for Favourite Songs at the Moment: The whole of the "Have a Nice Day" album by Bon Jovi
G is for Goof-off Thing to Do: Stitching, or maybe empire-building in Civilisation IV
H is for Hometown: Technically Auckland but it's not really "home" yet, so I'll say Bishop's Stortford, Herfordshire, UK
I is for Instrument You Play: Sadly none. Learning to play the piano is on my "list of things I want to do before I die"
J is for Jam or Jelly you Like: Any jam but especially Strawberry or Apricot
K is for Kids: No thanks! :)
L is for Living Arrangement: DH, 2 cats, and me in a rented 3-bedroom house until we decide where to settle down
M is for Mom’s Name: Margaret Alice (she'll hate that I told you that!)
N is for Names of Good Friends: Martin (my DH), and Rachel and Kate - sadly both half a world away :(
O is for Overnight Hospital Stays: One - for a sinus operation aged 16
P is for Phobias: Drowning and water (I love being on it - terrified of being in it)
Q is for Quotes you Like: "The good thing is..." (from my good friend Kate who's always finding the silver lining)
R is for Relationship That Lasted Longest: DH - 11 years (from our first date) and still counting
S is for Siblings: Five, but I was brought up an only child (it's a complicated tale...)
T is for Texas: Um? so? T is also for TIGERS! (I love them)
U is for Unique Trait: Is there such a thing as a unique trait?
V is for Vegetables You Love: Sweet peppers (capsicums), asparagus, rocket, peas. Most of them actually!
W is for Worst Traits: Avoiding confrontations so letting people treat me like a doormat
X is for X-rays You’ve Had: Elbow (fractured), head (for sinusitis), chest (as a checkup), teeth (several times)
Y is for Yummy Food You Make: Perfect roast potatoes :)
Z is for Zodiac Sign: Pisces
