New HAED QS

This is my new stitch-a-long piece for the Wednesday Quick Stitch SAL on the HAED board. The idea is that I concentrate on Earth at the weekends to get her done as I was a little frustrated at her slow progress just working on her on Wednesdays. Of course, I got distracted by Quaker Garden, but hopefully that's my last new start (apart from exchange pieces) for quite a while!!

This is Air by Sara Butcher. It's stitched on 28ct Blue Ice from Countrystitch. And I'm parking my threads again, though I'm doing blocks of 20 across at a time instead of 10 to try to reduce the number of threads (thanks Kim for the idea!)

  1. Have fun with your new start.

Thanks for the comments on my blog. You'll have to come and visit the new house.

  2. Looks good so far--I hope you like parking 20x10. I'm really pleased with it even though my backs are a mess(which I think is inevitable with HAEDs anyway). I just figured out the other day that I can realistically have Magic Witch done by the end of September(or sooner if I don't work on anything else--you know how hard that is ;)) Happy stitching!

  5. These wee designs are just so interesting.... probvably not something I would stitch, but just knowing ow many wee tiny stitches that are in these pieces is quite amazing.

I saw Lisa - Stitchiekiwi - the other day with hers, just could not believe how small it was and how much work was involved. I am impressed with you all working on these pieces.

  8. I think I have seen Patti (stitching from lobster land) stitch this way too. it is called parking? Can you explain it a bit? Is it something you can do with any piece or just certain designs? Thanks, Ann.
