Weekend stitching....

I hardly put needle to thread on Saturday - shopping, cleaning and cooking took up the day, but I more than made up for it yesterday with a solid day of stitching! It was a very wet miserable winter day, so what better to do than stay in and stitch!

First up was the Carriage House Samplings alphabet. It was the weekend for my SAL with Karen, and this time it was the turn of 'D'. I think this might be my favourite so far - I love the woodsy feel of the colours. I chose to do the bottom in the recommended Brandy to keep that feel, so my alphabet will have different coloured blocks every now and again.

(One over 1 on 28ct Merino lugana from Countrystitch using the recommended GAST threads)

Then I finished off mini block 3 for Leanne's House - with a very inappropriate saying for the weather yesterday!

I'm taking this week as holiday (yippee!) so I'm off to stitch now! We're not going anywhere and it's horrid weather so I'm hoping I'll have lots to show you at the end of the week!

  12. Hi Nicki

I don't know why you couldn't leave a comment on my blog, it worked for me. Anyway, I'll be changing the template today, I've been meaning to do that for ages.

I'd LOVE to to a TocII SAL! I've needed a good excuse to justify starting it :P One motif a week sounds perfect. Now I've gotta organize myself with fabric etc... exciting :)
