More redwork!

Remember a while ago I had nothing to show you because it was all secret stitching? Well, it seems like now I have so much to show I can't keep up! The surprise gift and the needleroll exchange have arrived, and I'm expecting my redwork exchange to arrive any day too.

First, here's the surprise I stitched. It's for Becky, and it's redwork because I knew she wanted to join the redwork exchange but was too busy with her family and stitching things for other people. She gives a lot to other people, so this was just for her!

It's from the A Mon Ami Pierre alphabet 8 and it's stitched over one on 32ct natural linen using the new variegated DMC 115 (which I can highly recommend!)

And here's the back with a pocket for a thing with our names!

It's been a bit of a red week hasn't it?! Needleroll pic to come tomorrow - although if you can't wait pop over to Katrina's blog to see it!

  1. Oh that is SO beautiful!! I didn't know the new variegated DMC 115 was like that - I am so getting me some of that! (noted it down already!!) The Queen of over-1 stitching, I absolutely love it... Becky is so right, you are! LOL

BTW I forgot to mention in your other post... I'd love to do a Mira SAL at some point if you're interested. I know you're not planning to start a new one any time soon, but LMK when you are if you'd like to do one (will give me an excuse to start yet another new one!) I always seem to get so much more stitching done with SALs. :-)

  16. I actually read these posts last week, but just noticed I hadn't commented yet ... hence the mass posting today ;) Just wanted to say I think the pinkeep for Becky is absolutely stunning! I really adore those alphabet letters, and it looks absolutely awesome with that DMC (glad I could recommend that one to you - isn't it great?) ... talking of which, I really must get my redwork biscornu finished ...
