Progress....
A couple of pretty pics to share.
First, here's my progress on The Counting House. I'm actually still missing the main thread for the house. I thought I'd support my local LNS and buy it there instead of ordering it over the internet, and of course they'd sold out of that colour! So it's on its way in my package from Needlecraft Corner, which was delayed and has only just been sent. A lucky coincidence! (The grass is straight - I can't figure out why the photo looks crooked!)
And next, my second ornament of the season. A start on Fancy Work's Noel Sampler. I'd forgotten what a pain their ornament charts are though - such tiny spots. It's slow progress! I'm using the Cranberry thread Anne sent me (thanks again Anne!) on 28ct Haystack from Countrystitch.

ReplyDeleteLooking Good Nicki!!
ReplyDeleteI really like The Counting House on that blue. I have a piece of that around the house somewhere, like yours it was in one of my FOTMs from Country stitch - and of course the chart is in my stash somewhere (my stash is out of control again!!)
Wow, your ornament is going to be gorgeous! The floss is perfect.
ReplyDeleteWow Nicki - are you stitching your ornament piece over 1 thread? It looks like very tiny stitches to me. I love the floss you are using - its going to look amazing when finished.
ReplyDeleteGreat start on Counting House! I am going through similar woes with trying to just easily get my hands on a skein of GAST Dried Thyme to finish Blessings Be Thine :-)
