Monthly Christmas ornament SAL (updated)

NOTE TO EVERYONE: Please read the updates on the Ornament blog if you're having trouble. Blogger and Beta Blogger are causing chaos with the team membership thing. Sorry everyone. I thought a blog would be nice and easy for everyone to join! HaHa - or should that be HoHo?!

Also, I need your email address to send an invite. Chris - email me and I'll send an invite. My email is back in my profile - thanks Chelle for pointing out it had vanished since my upgrade!

Christmas is nearly here and I've realised that trying to do all my Christmas stitching in two weeks isn't a great idea! So Anne and I are organising a monthly Christmas ornament SAL for next year.

The idea is to stitch one ornament each month, so at the end of the year we'll have lots of pretties to give as gifts or put on trees. We'll stitch on the fourth weekend of each month (by popular demand!)

If you'd be interested, let one of us know. You wouldn't have to stitch each month of course. Or finish an ornament each time. It'd just be a fun way of getting some Christmas ornaments stitched through the year and relieving the pre-Christmas rush!

I've also set up a blog for us to share pictures of the SAL when we get going. Anyone can comment of course, but if you'd like to be able to post pictures let me know and I'll send you a member invite. I'll need your email address.

I'll leave you with a photo of our wood-burning stove decorated for Christmas. I think we need bigger stockings - Santa's not going to fit much in these!

I'd like to join you in the SAL (when I can fit it in around the ever growing pile of Chatelaine projects). I'd be a fourth weekend of the month player too.

Count me in! I had already been thinking that doing one ornie a month was the way to go and SALs are so much fun. I have no preferance to what weekend.

  11. Heehee, your Christmas stockings crack me up ... perhaps if Santa can't come up with a couple of diamonds, you might get one or two #28 Piecemaker needles in it (out of the packet) LOL :D Thanks for starting the ball rolling with the ornie SAL - I've just added the same info to my blog too :)

  25. I'm up for this SAL, I didn't get any ornies stitched this year so have had to do a lot of deadline stitching this christmas, something I'd like to avoid next year.

  28. Hi Nicki! Yes, it is me! I can't find your email address in your profile. I suspect this is a Blogger vs Beta Blogger thing. I had to sign in with my Google account to comment here so that is why there is no link back to my blog. I haven't migrated yet! Ack! Anyway, here is my email addy with a few spaces added toadlilymo @ yahoo.com I'm looking forward to the SAL. Thanks! 'Chelle
