End of the Teresa Wentzler RR

I got my Teresa Wentzler round robin back last week. It was very late but I knew it was late and had told the last person to take as much time as she needed. So I was really disappointed to see she hadn't finished her band. She sent the bit of the chart so I could do it but I still felt a bit let down.

I'm also wondering about the band second to the bottom. The stitcher didn't write in my notebook so I don't know which chart it's from. Can someone tell me? It has gaps in it which seems unusual for a TW - it looks as if it should have beads and I need to know for peace of mind if it's meant to be like that or not!

The rest of the RR is lovely though. I'm really pleased as several of the bands are from charts I don't have. I won't be doing the next round, but I do have lots of fabric left at the bottom, so at some point I'll see if I can join in a different group. Not now though - too much else to do!

  1. Your RR looks lovely Nicki! I've decided not to do the next round either. Maybe we could stitch on each other's sometime later in the year when we're both less busy?

Must be nice to have it back home safe and sound.

Very pretty RR. I wish I could help you identify that 2nd band from the bottom but I've never done a Theresa Wentzler.

It is a little odd that the person who did the last band didn't finish it, doesn't look like there is very much left to do.

  4. The second from the bottom design is the interior border from the Castle Sampler.

  5. I forgot to add that this TW design does not have beads so the empty spaces are correct. You could always add beads if you want.

    (I love the Castle Sampler!)

  6. It's a shame that your RR didn't come back complete. I agree with Sue, it seems like there was very little left, so at least you can complete it in no time. :) I think it looks gorgeous, though! Just incredible. All those sparklies and beads; you captured a great photo of it.

  7. It's gorgeous. A shame that the last band isn't finished when it seems so close.

  8. What a gorgeous RR! Although, what a shame that stitcher didn't bother to finish her band. How could anyone dare to do this is beyond me!

Still, it is truly beautiful. :)

  9. Well I guess its better the stitcher sent it along, then finished the band and held onto it forever. It looks awesome though. I am such a fan of TW borders. In fact I have a RR very similar to this one myself!

  10. It's beautiful. I can't however imagine anyone not finishing their part-I would have been dissappointed too.

  11. It is gorgeous, Nicki. What a shame that the last stitcher didn't finish her band!

  12. Very pretty! That sure does seem like an odd place to stop...since it looks like it is almost finished...and it was late anyway! At least you got it back safely :)

  13. That's very pretty! Odd that the last stitcher didn't finish hers, since there's so little left.

If you want, I can stitch a band on it sometime this year. Although, I'm not part of the RR and don't have any to send to you for stitching :) I've actually never done a proper RR (just the ornament one where you sent materials and patterns..) so I don't know if this would take away from the RR-ness of the finished piece or not.

  14. Glad it made it back to you safe and sound. How disappointing that the last stitcher sent it back late and didn't even finish it! It does look like it will be quick to finish up. It is a beautiful piece, congratulations!

  15. Very very odd that your RR came home unfinished with no explanation, but I guess on the bright side at least it came home. If you want, I'm more than happy to finish it off for you ... I've got the chart here. I could even save you the postage if you can get it to Mum before 6 Feb, and you could pick it up again when you pop over here to visit ... that means I get to hold it for ransom to make sure I get to see you before you leave LOLOL. Seriously though, I'm more than happy to finish it off for you :D

  16. Actually, I sent my comment before checking ... I've just assumed the chart is Father Winter, but I might be wrong ... I've got almost all of TW's charts anyway, so I'm sure I've still got it ... ;P

  17. Its a lovely piece, but what a shame about the last band. Sorry I can't help you with the second bottom band - I have no idea which design its from.

  18. It's a lovely piece. I'd be mortified if I didn't finish an RR! But at least you can finish it up.

It's funny, I think TW's borders are my least favorite part to stitch, but they sure do look gorgeous!

  19. It looks gorgous! I love TW designs! I'd love to do a row on this for you if you want. You could send it with the next HAED robin!
