New starts!

I started something new! I have so many WIPs there are going to be very few new starts this year, but this is one of them. It's Quaker Stocking by Carriage House Samplings and it was on my list of 2007 stitching goals, so that's OK.

I'm doing it on the 40ct Navy Bean Cathy sent me last year (I've been saving it for this!) with the DMC conversion. I'll be stitching on it most Saturdays along with the ladies on the Legacy board.

And I have new stash I want to start! First, a huge thank you to Sue, who's gifted me with Chatelaine's Rose and Butterfly Quilt charts as an all-year birthday present! Thank you so much Sue! That'll be another new start when I get fabric and threads.

I also got Blackbird's Designs' Bluebird's Message this week thanks to a trade with Karen. Thanks Karen! I'm tempted to start this one too but won't yet.

I will be starting Blackstone Fantasy Garden by Ink Circles some time though. The Dinky Dyes I ordered at Christmas finally arrived so I have fabric and enough thread to make a start. It'll be an autumn garden. I'm going to use Silkweaver's Golden Promise and Dinky Dyes Desert Sands for one set of crosses. I'm not sure about the rest - although I will use that green (Swan Valley - thanks again Cathy!) for one of the backstitching colours. The other two threads are possibles. I'll see as I go along.

Edited to add: Barbara - you're so right! I ordered from Stitching Bits and Bobs. Cheap but sooooo sloooooow!
