It's the big 4-0 birthday today! And a very big thank you to some lovely stitching bloggers who've sent me birthday wishes and gifts. You've all helped make it a really special day!
Martin has been hiding a couple of parcels for a while and I finally got to open them and see the beautiful gifts inside.
First was a gorgeous redwork pinkeep from Karen - beautifully finished of course. She also sent some 25ct fabric for my HAEDs (it's going to be very hard not to start another one now I have fabric) and some lovely Crescent Colors and WDW threads. The WDW ones I needed for Bluebird's Message, so now I have them I might start it as a birthday treat. Thank you Karen!
Then I opened an envelope from Carol to find one of her stunning fobs inside. Isn't it amazing? So much detail. It's beautifully made.
And here's the back so you can see the cute charm. I love it. Thank you Carol!
And last, but by no means least, I opened an envelope from dear Becky to find the Beatrix Potter Quaker chart (which I'd regretted not buying, especially after seeing Jo's in real life), and a tin containing another gorgeous redwork pinkeep! You all know how much I love red and my collection is definitely growing beautifully. Becky also sent me her Celtic Autumn chart. Thank you so much Becky!
So a big thank you for my gifts - I love them all and they really made my morning special.
I'm off now to watch Martin make brunch - a rare event!
