The Token
As promised, here's my latest WIP of The Token. Not much more to do actually. I took it round to Kerry's last Friday and we had a lovely few hours chatting and stitching (her WIPs are all looking beautiful!) I've also worked on it for the last couple of days and got quite a bit more done.
It's 1 over 1 on 32ct Haystack lugana from Countrystitch using Gloriana Cranberry.
Countrystitch is under new management by the way, so pop along to support Catherine as she gets things up and running. I'm looking forward to seeing what she comes up with!
We had a lovely day today - an early birthday day. We caught the ferry over to the city centre and walked up to Borders - probably the biggest bookshop in New Zealand. I got two books - Ruddy Gore by Kerry Greenwood (the seventh in the Phyrne Fisher series) and Hades' Daughter by Sara Douglass. Both Aussie authors whose books aren't so easy to get in the UK. Then we had a leisurely lunch in the sun at the Viaduct. I had stonegrilled tuna - raw tuna on a piping hot stone that you cut into slices and cook yourself. Absolutely yummy with a bottle of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc!
