Fist pic of the Fantasy Garden

Here it is - the first day stitching on Blackstone Fantasy Garden. It's hard to visualise it at the moment but I think it'll work out OK.

The fabric is Silkweaver's Golden Promise and the main orangey thread is Dinky Dyes Desert Sands. The rest of the threads will be ones I had in my stash so they're a mixture of silks and overdyed cottons. The red-pinky one is Silk n Colors Frosted Auburn and the green is Crescent Colors Spinach.

I've used GAST Gingersnap around the Desert Sands. Do you think it's too dark? Martin says not. I'm not sure. Opinions will be welcome!

  6. I think that the color will work out just fine. You just need to stitch up a little more to see it come together. ;)

  9. I think your colours look really nice and wouldn't have known they were not the staed ones if you had not said.....that is how well they seem to blend.
