Seven wonders of the world

I just found out that there's going to be a New Seven Wonders of the World. As I'm fascinated by the old ones and by several of the candidates for the new ones I thought I'd share the news in case you didn't know either. Pop over and cast your vote!

It's been a busy and stressful end of week. Work was fine, but poor Martin had to deal with a mains water leak outside the back door (now fixed but we have to concrete over the big hole); bailiffs coming round looking for our tenants (not a great surprise really); and stress over registering our poor car, which is still sitting in the garage up the round unlicensed and untaxed because the Department of Vehicle Licensing has mucked us about endlessly for the last month... He's not a happy bunny.

In fact, I was so wound up yesterday on what was supposed to be a nice Friday off that I had to start something new! What better than a nice soothing Little House Needleworks design (thanks again Holley!)

And speaking of LHN - have you seen the new charts? They're all so cute!

  1. Very nice Nicki and it doesn't take long to stitch up at all. I've to collect mine from the framers now I've had the phone call it's ready.

Great new start! I love the colours :) Looks like we're both stitching on a LHN design - I started Faith (one of the LHN/CC collaboration pieces) on Thursday - hoping to finish it up very soon!

I like tthe Necessities Sampler out of the new ones - I seem to be drawn to blue just lately!

  3. Beautiful new start Nicki - I love that design and used the top part for the Bourse tutorial. Hopefully I'll manage to stitch it in full some day. Your own stitching is certainly inspiring me to.

Sorry to hear you haven't had the best of weeks. Hopefully the next one will go more smoothly.

  6. Sorry to hear of the stresses going on - no good thing can happen without something happening on the other end of the spectrum. Have to keep that cosmic balance. ;)

You asked about Rigby - none of our animals will have to go into quarentine, thank the heavens. Just need vouchers from the vet that they're up-to-date on all shots and in good health. Phew!
