Ooooooh! What a surprise!

I got home on Wednesday to a fat envelope with the loveliest surprise in it. (I'm sorry it's taken so long to post a pic - the weather is awful and my evening photos were so dark!)

Anyway, this is my House with a Landscape exchange piece. My original partner went AWOL and so Su very generously volunteered to stitch me something as a replacement, even though she wasn't in the exchange herself - isn't that so kind?

And it was definitely worth the wait - so very me. It's a lovely Blackbird Designs house with some of the colours changed to beautiful autumnal shades. I'd asked for an oversized flower with my house and this couldn't fit the bill any better. It really is gorgeous.

It's finished with red beads in the corners and a lovely backing fabric. There were some great buttons and some fabric and trim in the package too. Thank you so much Su - I really appreciate it and love it all!
