August stitching report

Gosh, it's been a while since my last post! Lots going on here with work and family and friends. We had a wonderful day yesterday with one of my oldest and closest friends and her hubby and kids. I haven't seen them for well over 3 years, just before we left for NZ, and although my friend hasn't changed at all the kids have certainly grown! So has the family - from three to four and a fifth on the way. It seems very odd - I still think of us a students together!

Next month looks like it'll be just as busy. We have loads of things booked in - the main one being a trip to Scotland for a few days for my Mum's birthday. I've finished M is for Mother for her. I was just waiting for the bellpull ends I ordered to arrive so I could do the hemstitching. They came on Wednesday so I can finish it off now.

Not a lot of other stitching has been done, though I am well underway for the redwork exchange and I've almost finished Tash's HAED RR (pic coming soon).

And I have some new stash courtesy of dear Sylvie. Here are two of Tone Finnanger's books (even though they're in Norwegian they look easy to follow).

And I also need to say thank you publicly to Lina, who brought me a lovely piece of linen back from her holiday, and a very belated thank you to Anne for some gorgeous Countrystitch linen that she sent me a while ago. Thank you all - you're so kind!

Lastly, here's the monthly round-up:
