A very clever exchange!

I got home today from a lovely trip to a local Farmers' Market (more on that below if you're interested) to an envelope from Su. I was so excited! Su does such beautiful work. It was my seasonal exchange - I'm lucky enough to have her as my seasonal exchange partner so I'll be getting FOUR exchanges from her. Wow!

Not only is Su's stitching and finishing gorgeous but she knows I like redwork and over 1 so she stitched me a lovely little summery design in red! How clever. I never thought I'd get a redwork piece for a seasonal exchange - isn't it sweet? I don't have any hornbooks but I've been wanting one for ages. This one is so cute. And I love the colour of course...

And I got lovely summery goodies too! Thank you so much Su. I'm so excited to get you as my partner!

The Farmers' Market was great. I went with my neighbour and we came home loaded with food (and plants in my case!) Meat, fish, veggies, fruit, relish and sauces, soap, and even puddings! We've just had lovely tuna steaks done on the barbie with samphire and veg. I'd never tried samphire before. I'm not sure if I like it but it was interesting. The market was packed - wonderful to see all those people buying local produce.
