Two Chatelaines

First, my progress on my Winter's Eve SAL with Lina. Nearly there!

Then progress on Medieval Times. It's been leading the vote in my poll so I pulled it out last weekend for a couple of days. This is where I started:

And this is where I am now:

As you can see, I spent a fair bit of the weekend backwards stitching! I wasn't happy with the colours of Milady's dress so I was going to frog it, but to be honest I just don't like Milady at all. So out she's come and I need to decide what I'm going to do in her place. I have a few ideas! I did get the rest of part 4 finished though (the roses round the arch) and am almost halfway through part 5, so good progress in spite of the frogging.

I've been working on my Autumn exchange for Barbara most of the week. I'll keep going on that and Medieval Times the rest of the month (and Their Song on the train - I need to do an updated photo of that for you). This weekend is going to be busy though - my brother is on a one-night stopover on his way home to NZ. Will be lovely to see him!

Oh, and there's a new poll up - go and vote!

  2. Lovely pieces Nicki. Winter's Eve is gorgeous. Have I asked you before if you're all four? Apologies if I have!

Medieval Times is looking beautiful. I hope you find something to replace milady.

  3. Beautiful progress on your Chatelaine stitching. You know, Milady was the one part of that (otherwise gorgeous design) that I didn't care for either, so I'm looking forward to seeing waht you come up with. 8)

  6. I have to admit I did Midi and I didn't really like it so I framed it and gave it to a friend who I caught drooling over it.
