Autumn Song for Barbara

Well, it's no longer autumn (it's been a really frosty winter wonderland this week on the way to work), but I did get my autumn seasonal exchange to Barbara within the deadline. Here it is - Autumn Song by Blackbird Designs stitched on 32ct Light Sand linen.


I nearly forgot to take a picture, which is why it looks dark as it was late in the evening just before I wrapped it up to post. But this was the best one for showing the colours of the threads.

I knew as soon as the design came out that it was meant to be for Barbara. I had to wait a while for the chart to arrive and then I spent ages trying to decide how to finish it. In the end I mounted it on to the front of a photo album. None of the trims I tried looked right so it's plain and simple.
