Sampler SAL weekend 1

I must admit, I didn't enjoy my stitching as much as usual last weekend. I even considered a new start but I just didn't seem in the mood for anything. I've no idea why, but it was all feeling uninspiring. I eventually picked up Blackstone, and that seemed to do the trick, but first I spent a few hours plugging away on Beatrix Potter's Quaker Sampler for the first Sampler SAL weekend.

I didn't do much but I did finish off the swan motif and start the darkest one. As long as I get a little done each month that's enough!

  2. It's a terrible feeling to be in a stitching funk. We all go through it. BP is stitching up beautifully.

Lovely progress Nicki! I was feeling the same way this weekend too - uninspired, didn't do much stitching and didn't want to start anything new. Well, that all changed with my FOTM delivery yesterday and I started Strawberry Garden, so maybe you just need a little bit of retail therapy ;)

  5. Great work Nicki. I understand a stitching funk, I've just started stitching again after 4 months.

  6. Sometimes the stitching is just slower. ;) Your progress looks great to me!

  7. Sometimes, we just don't feel like stitching. It usually passes with time, thank heaven. Your Beatrix Potter sampler looks divine, though.
