Stitching in Scotland
We're back home again. A good time was had by all, though I think I'm allergic to my mum and dad's house! I had a terrible bout of allergic sinusitis and not for the first time up there. It's gone now though thank goodness. Ouch it hurt!
I picked up the first thing that came to hand to take with me to stitch, and it happened to be the CHS alphabet. Easy to carry just one chart and a few threads. I finished S for Squirrel and did a fair bit more of the border too.

Just before we left I got a lovely bit of post from Staci. She was one of the winners of my Christmas giveaway and she very kindly sent me a little something as a thank you. More than a little something actually - all the DMC threads that are discontinued over here, a bunch of DMC 115 (my favourite!) and some Piecemakers size 28 (also my favourites). Thank you so much Staci - I really didn't expect anything, it was a wonderful surprise and a lovely gift. Lulu thinks so too!

Your alphabet is looking great! Mine is still at the "thinking about working on" stage at the minute, but I hope to make a start on this month's block later this week.
ReplyDeleteLulu looks so cute in that pic! :)
Hi Nicki
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about the sinusitis. I must say there seems to be an awful lot of bugs going around up here. So far we all managed to avoid them since early Dec but now my small children are back with their runny noses I guess it's only a matter of time! The CHS alphabet is looking great - not far to go!
Sorry about the bout of illness...that stinks, but your CHS alphabet looks lovely and what a sweetie Staci is! How nice!!!
ReplyDeleteYour alphabet looks fantastic! Sorry to hear you were sick at your M&D's though. Its never fun to be sick but especially when you are off on vacation.
ReplyDeleteSinusitus is awful, my sympathies! You're still making great progress on the CHS alphabet-looks great!
