Season of Hope

Here's my first finish for the project challenge - Season of Hope by Little House Needleworks. Stitched on the train with a happy dance shared with a fellow commuter on Friday evening!

That fabric is one quarter of a piece Lina gifted me with last year. I've been stingy with it so I have enough left to do the other three seasons. I would have made it into a pillow yesterday if I'd got round to getting thread for the sewing machine!

Edited to add: I wish it was just one train journey - what a lot I'd get finished! It took about a month of 30 minute journeys and a couple of lunch hours. I don't always get to stitch on the train - I sometimes get chatting to a couple of fellow commuters instead. And train stitching is slow - trying to find those holes on a bumpy journey can sometimes be frustrating. Every little bit adds up though!

If anyone would like to swap the chart for Season of Plenty or Season of Rest, please let me know. Taken!

  6. This is so pretty! Did you do it all on one train ride?

I wanted to thank you for the suggestion of turning a piece upside down to stitch down instead of up. It worked like a charm!
