New travel project

May I introduce my new travel project - St Reatham by Long Dog Samplers, stitched one over one on 28ct Haystack lugana from Countrystitch using the lovely red silk Karen sent me for my birthday. I love this chart. Mainly because I used to live in Streatham (south London) and every time I think of the name I want to giggle!

Before some of you decide the men in white coats are required for anyone trying to stitch one over one on a train, let me explain! I have two problems stitching on the train. First, it's hard to hit the right hole on any fabric finer than 30ct. Second, it's hard to railroad when stitching with two threads. So, the simple answer is stitch with one thread on 30ct or less. Hence this. And it's working! So much easier. My only worry is dirt - I'm worried it may get a little grubby but I'll just have to cross my fingers and hope!
