A little autumn

We've had a glorious autumn here - a real Indian summer. I still haven't needed a jacket, though it has got cooler over the last week. The leaves are turning, some of the trees are already bare, and a couple of weeks ago I got an autumn stitching craving. So here's progress on Autumn in My Garden - 1 over 1.

The fabric is R&R 30ct and I don't think I'll use this for 1 over 1 again - it's too uneven. I love it for 2 over 2 and slightly primitive designs, but not for this.

  2. Congrats on your wonderful finish, Nikki! :-) I love this design so much. I still hope to stitch mine on 40-count one of these days (I know I'd never cope with over-1 - though I wish I could, especially after seeing yours!)

Thanks for sharing the photos of dear Lulu too - what an absolute cutie and great to see she's doing so well. :-)

  5. I like very much this work and it's all about the season... You call it Indian Summer and what can I see? In spite of last week (rain and a bit colder), we had some days better than Summer, real Summer nights windless, fantastic. During the day to much hot without exaggerating... What's the next finish? Hugs! MJ

  6. Nicki She looks lovely. I love Mira designs stitched 1x1. I have always wanted to do garden verses or the dreamer that way.

  8. Well even with uneven fabric, she turned out beautifully! Glad to hear you're having a lovely fall. It was a very wet October for us!

  9. Your stitching is looking lovely Nicki. I wouldn't fancy doing 1 over 1 on linen on a large project!

Hasn't Autumn just been lovely this year, it's my favourite season, and I haven't had a coat on yet either as it's been so mild.
