December stitching part 1

I abandoned you back in November while I was working on Evening in the Park, so here's a update. I got all four bits of part 7 finished and even started on part 8 before my enthusiasm waned again.

So pretty but I seem to have a problem sticking with anything for more than 10 days at the moment! Maybe I need to start up a rotation again. I'm considering it...

We have several inches of snow here at the moment. And more due today and over the next few days. We so nearly had a white Christmas as well. Loads of snow right up to Christmas Eve, when it all melted. Typical!

  1. This piece looks lovely, and I can imagine the concentration it takes to stitch it.

Everyone all over the world is getting snow except for us! We may get a light snow this afternoon. Fingers crossed!

  2. The piece is beautiful!

We had a huge snow storm right before Xmas. My husband was so excited, but I wasn't. I don't like to go out in snowy & cold weather.

  3. It looks wonderful. I've stitched a couple of her designs so I know how intense they can be!

We're suppose to get five inches tonight. It's about time - not that I want snow - but we usually have quite a bit by this time and we've barely had any.

  7. I've been stitching ENTP since the beginning of the year. It's a nice winter piece to work on. Congrats!!

  8. Very pretty!
We've got tons of snow here. Wish I could ship it out. So sick it!

  9. Gorgeous! This is pretty intense piece to stick with for too long. Almost a white Christmas huh? I had my first this year although there wasn't that much snow really. But there was enough for me to consider it white :)

  10. Very lovely. I think your progess is great. And if you only like stitching something in 10 day chunks, I say go for it! Stitching should be fun!

  11. Beautiful! I know what you mean about attention space for pieces though (ok, that's me paraphrasing), I can be similar. An informal rotation of picking up what you next feel like every 10 days sounds good, I might join you :)

Isn't it funny how you got so much more snow than I did and yet I got the white xmas. Of course, living on a hill and at a point where the angle of the low sun couldn't melt all my snow before xmas did help ;)

  12. This piece is absolutely beautiful! So much detail! It is very understandable why you would have a hard time working on this for extended periods of time. I really ook forward to seeing more though!

  15. There is some intense stitching here, very nice :)

I hoping for more snow, so may get some additional time off work!

  16. Happy new year! Your Chatelaine is looking beautiful and I look forward to seeing your progress! A weekly rotation is the best for me, I've noticed. After a week I'm bored and want to change a project :)

Oh the weather seems to be exceptional almost everywhere in Europe. Snow looks so pretty but I understand it can cause problems if you're not used to it. We have this year more snow that last year and I'm happy about it, I like shoveling :) But I don't like this when we have -30C, it's a bit too cold for me (and for cars!) even though some people still go by bike to work and school :)

  17. It's looking gorgeous Nicki though I can see why you might struggle to find the motivation sometimes
