New starts

I've had a bit of a relapse. Having only started two things the whole of last year, I've now started three in the space of three days!

The first was purely due to indecision. Catherine Agnes was there, so I started it as I couldn't decide what else to do. But I soon realised I need all the threads, and I only have a few so it's been put away again until I can get the rest. No piccie as there's barely anything to show!

The second is a proper start - CHS's Sampler Stocking stitched with DMC on 40ct Peddlar's Moon (a special Lakeside Linen colour made for Shakespeare's Peddlar a couple of years ago). Loving it so far...

I'm glad I like Algerian eyelets. I didn't realise the alphabet was all eyelets until I pulled out the chart pages!

The last new start is a 'well why not' brought on by seeing a new start and little SAL on another blog. Any guesses? Picture coming in a day or so - just to tease you all!

  1. It looks great so far! I've always loved that piece and will have to remember about the Algerian Eyes. I really like doing those - a nice change from just xstitch.

Lovely progress on Sampler Stocking Nicki, the colours are really pretty :) I just started back on Quaker Stocking at the weekend, perhaps we should SAL if you're interested? (Nothing formal).

LMK which threads you need for CA - I might be able to help you out with the leftovers from when I stitched her.

  7. My guess for your next SAL is Prairie Schooler alphabet series :P You have a nice start there :D I have CA in my stash pile too, but like you haven't started yet for the exact same reason - I only have 1/2 the threads :P

  9. Wow, you are a far better woman than I! I don't think I like Algerian eyelets enough for that; however, it doesn't look like too horribly many. And the effect is quite nice. :)
