Little House Needleworks exchange part 1!

This was such a fun exchange to do! I got Cathy as my recipient and enlisted the help of some lovely Aussie blogging and BB friends to suggest Australian authors. This was the result:

I hope Diane of LHN doesn't mind when one of her designs gets changed this much! It's The Bookshelf but rather altered! Here's the back:

There's a bias towards children's authors as Cathy is a Children's Services Librarian. I also added (Kerry) Greenwood and (Sara) Douglass as my two favourite Aussie authors.

It's not as flat as I would have liked as I had no thick wadding and had to stuff it instead. It's stitched 1 over 1 on 28ct Platinum linen. I'm so glad you like it Cathy!

(I had to include some of my own old children's books in the photos!)

  1. Nicki, I know first-hand how exquisite your mattress pincushions are (I ADORE mine!) - and your personalization of using Aussie authors is just so incredibly thoughtful! Beautiful exchange!!

I like the pile of books too. I recognised the Nancy Drew and School at the Chalet.
