Little House Needleworks exchange part 1!

This was such a fun exchange to do! I got Cathy as my recipient and enlisted the help of some lovely Aussie blogging and BB friends to suggest Australian authors. This was the result:


I hope Diane of LHN doesn't mind when one of her designs gets changed this much! It's The Bookshelf but rather altered! Here's the back:


There's a bias towards children's authors as Cathy is a Children's Services Librarian. I also added (Kerry) Greenwood and (Sara) Douglass as my two favourite Aussie authors.


It's not as flat as I would have liked as I had no thick wadding and had to stuff it instead. It's stitched 1 over 1 on 28ct Platinum linen. I'm so glad you like it Cathy!

    I like the pile of books too. I recognised the Nancy Drew and School at the Chalet.

    it turned out brilliantly nicky.. which i think i already told you but none the less.. you chose some of my most adored writers off the list you compiled especially colin thiel and may gibbs though mem is not far behind and as usual your stitching and finishing are awesome...
