Olympic stitching
I popped in to the Chatelaine bulletin board a couple of days ago and saw that they were running Olympic stitching again, so I couldn't resist signing up. I did it in 2006 for the winter Olympics and had such fun. I even managed to get a gold medal!
That seems a lifetime ago though and I had a LOT more spare time. Still, it's just for fun.
I'm going to be working on Pompeii Garden, which has been put aside since January 2007! I think I decided to work on Evening in the Park for my SAL with Lina and could only cope with one big Chatelaine at a time, but it's criminal that it's been so long since it last saw the light of day. I got it out yesterday and it's gorgeous. Here's where I am now:
We'll just have to see how much I can get done in the next couple of weeks. Not an awful lot I suspect but it's great to be working on it again.

Oh my heavens, Nicki, this is INCREDIBLE!!!
ReplyDeleteYay Nicki! I was wondering when you were going to pull this back out ;) I LOVE this design and I love the fabric you chose for it - it's a Kiwi Illusions, right? (can't remember which, though)... Enjoy your stitching and the Olympics!
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful, definitely one to plug away at.
ReplyDeletePompeii! I loved this when you were stitching it, I've missed seeing the updates.
ReplyDeleteSo glad that it's come back out to play again.
It's gorgeous, happy stitching, it will be great to see your progress photos of this one! Always when I see someone stitching a Chatelaine I want to continue stitching mines as well :)
ReplyDeleteHi Nicki, just to let you know that my heathersstitchinghaven.blogspot.com has been disabled by those at blogger for the past 3 weeks and I am now using my http://fireflydreams.wordpress.com blog. I hope you will come and check it out when you have time.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful stitching, as always. I've even managed a humbug just recently :)
Heather
