Stitching after all

I lied, I do have some stitching to show you! Here's an update on St Reatham, which got stitched on the train journey to Dublin and so has now been worked on in three countries - England, Wales and Ireland.

I've finished page 2 and made good progress on page 4. Here's a close up showing the poor little bunny being chased by all those dogs!

And I did a little bit on Royal Holiday - just some of the tiara and stuff in her hair. I know I said I was going to work on Pompeii, but I suddenly realised that if I want this done for Christmas I need to get a move on! Not sure I can do it but I can try.

As you can see from the photo the sun has arrived! It's glorious outside today - not a cloud in sight and beautiful. After the gloomiest August on record (half the average sunshine and twice the average rainfall), and a miserable July and first two weeks of September, it's fantastic to see some sun. I felt like I was getting SAD already. So it's out into the garden today to do some tidying, weeding, and planting of bulbs!

Bulbs...you are right! This is the right time to plant them...every year I forget to do that and then I am so sorry at Spring time! Thanks for reminding me! :)

  9. St Reatham is coming along beautifully - you still amaze me with all your over-one stitching (and managing to stay sane throughout it all!!). Royal Holiday is also a stunner ... I've been eyeing Winter Queen up as well for the same reason (the original hope to get it finished by the end of 2008 hmmm) :) Good luck in meeting your goal! :D

  11. Thanks so much for your kind comment on Midnight, she'll be missed. I'm glad to see that Trevor is back home. The stress when a pet is lost is awful, you do imagine all the worst. I'm so glad that it ended happily.

Your St Realtham piece is certainly well traveled. It is looking so lovely, the red is gorgeous. Royal Holiday is a beautiful piece too, I love all the detail in the Mirabilia designs. Good luck on hitting your Christmas goal.

  12. St Reatham is gorgeous, I don't know if I could cope with ALL the over one stitching. Good luck with Royal Holiday, I am sure if you want it done by Christmas, it will.
