A heart for Valentine's Day

Well, half a heart. But it may be a complete heart by the end of the day as I just can't put Green Tree down. This is one of those designs that is just wonderful to stitch from start to finish.

The linen helps - I really had forgotten how soft and beautifully coloured Countrystitch linen is. And Haystack is possibly my favourite colour.

I hope you all have a lovely Valentine's Day, whether you are with a loved one or not. We've had croissants and pain au chocolat for breakfast - a delicious treat - and I'm cooking a romantic dinner this evening. And I have two new charms for my Pandora bracelet!

Edited to add: Countrystitch linen can be found here. It's based in NZ and don't be put off by the website - not all the links on the homepage work and it is convoluted. Click 'Go shopping', 'Fabric', 'Hand-dyed fabric' and 'Kiwi Illusions'. 40ct isn't listed but I've had some in the past and Green Tree is on 36ct, so I know she did do it. The 'contact me' link is on the homepage and Catherine is very friendly. Green Tree is on Haystack, which is my favourite, but I've used Oyster a lot (here and here) and Pipi (here and here) and Toitoi (here and here).

  13. Looks great! I have a stack of countrystitch in my stash and agree it's beautiful linen. I think it's pretty much all 28 and 32ct though - back from when I thought over 2 on that count was small enough, man was I naive ;)
